Spring Has Not Exactly Sprung; It Has Limped, But It Is Here. It’s been a long winter and spring has emerged slowly, impeded by the wind (coming from the wrong direction – the north and east, rather than south-west) and cold. But, despite everything the climate throws at it, like late frosts and hail last week, it does soldier on and it remains a marvel. New life is determined to appear and we gardeners have faith in that.
